"Music: Source of Hope and Comfort"

Music is an art form that involves combining vocal and instrumental sounds to create harmony that expresses emotions, beliefs and values. It has been a source of healing and comfort for millions of people, connecting them and encouraging them to express their emotions. We the younger generation are greatly inspired by music and it is believed that it benefits our mental and physical health. It transcends all backgrounds, castes and cultures. No matter what the language is when the listener understands the feelings, values and emotions of the artist they feel relatable and comforted inside. With this understanding, a kinship is formed among the listeners and artist which turns into something powerful where people with mutual feelings become a community to enjoy, spread positivity and perhaps sometimes make a difference. They address both societal and personal problems, inspiring individuals to lead better lives and create a more positive world. The concert held for Bangladesh by George Harrison during the liberation war helped to raise awareness and support for the millions of refugees from Bangladesh. People resonated with the sufferings of people which helped Bangladesh to gain international support and proved how people can think beyond themselves for humanity.

“My friend came to me with sadness in his eyes
Told me that he wanted help before his country dies
Although I couldn't feel the pain, I knew I had to try
Now I'm asking all of you to help us save some lives.”

Music is not just entertainment, it's therapy too... it reduces stress, helps to concentrate, improves mood and promotes well-being. When we feel down, we often turn to our favourite music. Music has always been an important part of my life, bringing comfort during both good and bad times, and inspiring me to never give up hope. I used to struggle with loving myself because I constantly compared myself to others, which harmed my mental health. However, one day I came across a song called "Epiphany" by Jin, and it helped me realize the importance of self-love no matter how I am. With a similar title, Taylor Swift has a song where she describes someone hoping to find peace in their dreams despite living in a world of chaos and violence. Two artists with similar titles helped me better understand love and peace, both within myself and in others.

Lastly, whether music is used as a form of therapy or simply enjoyed let's work towards improving quality of life through music that soothes our soul. What do you say?
